ABOUT JESSICA
Jessica Wellington is a Pittsburgh-based dance educator and choreographer known for her dynamic fusion of technical precision and theatrical storytelling. With over two decades of professional experience, she has built a multifaceted career spanning performance, education, choreography, and production, with expertise in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acro, and Hip Hop, and a strong influence in Commercial and Theater Jazz.

She studied dance at The University of Akron, where she performed as a principal dancer with the university’s acclaimed company. Today, she serves as Founder and Artistic Director of The Pennsylvania Dance Company (est. 2012) and as an Adjunct Professor of Dance at Seton Hill University, where she continues to mentor and develop the next generation of artists.

WORK
Her choreography is recognized for its originality and musicality across both competitive and theatrical platforms. Recent theatrical credits include Something Rotten, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Frozen, and Jesus Christ Superstar, presented by ACTS Performing Arts Center and the Henry Mancini Award-winning New Castle Theatre Department. Her work has also been featured at the collegiate level, including her piece Gilded in Seton Hill University’s Spring Spectrum.

In addition to her work on stage, Jessica is a published author and
co-founder of Livington Books. Her debut title, Livington’s Ballet Dictionary for Children, is available through major retailers, with her second book, Livington’s Tap Dictionary for Children, scheduled for release this summer.
